Dear Kent Bowler,
I am writing to you to try and clear up misunderstanding and misinformation regarding the Home Counties League. There were 6 counties involved in the league at the start of the season, however, 2 counties have withdrawn as they feel they cannot fulfil all the fixtures due to clashes with other fixtures or difficulties in raising a team. Another county failed to play its initial game as at that time they were unable to field a team, but are keen to continue participating.

Cancelled: Liberty Trophy Match at Swale

The Liberty Trophy match due to be played this Saturday 18th December at Swale IBC has been cancelled due to the increase of the Covid variant in agreement with Surrey CIBA.
It is hoped to replay it on the 15th January 2022.

Re-Scheduled National Finals

The EIBA have now finalised hosting arrangements for its re-scheduled 2019-2020 National Finals at Nottingham IBC. We are pleased to confirm that spectators will be able to attend the finals but numbers will be limited to 100 per day. In addition, tickets will need to be purchased in advance from the EIBA. Tickets will go on sale from Tuesday 31st August 2021 and are £3.00 per day. To purchase call 01664 481 900 or email andreaclark@eiba.co.uk
There are options to purchase a whole event pass and weekly passes.

County Competitions Update

Given the present and forthcoming restrictions due to COVID-19, the decision has been made NOT to run any County Competitions for the 2020/21 season.
With regard to the outstanding 2019/20 competitions which have been completed to virtually the semi-final stage, if it is possible to complete them before the end of the season then the County will do so.
A further review will be undertaken early in the New Year.

Next Season - County Competitions

Given the closure of many clubs, I appreciate that it is impossible for entry forms for next season’s county competitions to be completed and returned. I have decided therefore to leave matters in abeyance and wait until late summer to see what situation we are then faced with.
Suspension - County Competitions

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 VIRUS. The Executive Officers of the KCIBA following the decision of the EIBA to postpone the National Finals have agreed to cancel ALL of the remaining indoor KCIBA matches for the rest of this season.

Standardised Weeks Calendar

Every 5 years the calendar has a 53rd week due to the leap year, so this year is no exception. The Winter Competition Indoor programme normally starts during week 40 as no National Winter Competitions shall take place before 1st day of October in each year as per competition rule 1.6.
