Kent completed their competition programme on Saturday with the finals played at White Oak Indoor Bowls Club in Swanley. The county singles title went to Taylor Monk an under 25yrs bowler from Cyphers Indoor Bowls Club (Beckenham) when he defeated another youngster Josh Pounds of Ashford IBC 21-5. |

Kent made it three consecutive victories in the Over 60’s Inter County Competition when they defeated Yorkshire in the final at Nottingham on Easter Monday. Having won their group Kent had to face Essex in the semi final before facing Yorkshire in the final. |

Swale B winners of the Dudley Hoile, team members: Gary Walker, Norman Hunt, Joe Kelly and Chris Hall - Joe Glass, Andrew Bootes, Andy Hayward and Lee Shoobridge beat Cyphers @ the Oyster IBC. In the Semi-Final Swale beat Margate and Cyphers beat Folkestone. |

Kent have reached the final of the over 60’s National Competition. Kent beat Essex by 26 shots and are now in the final for the 3rd year running having won the competition twice before. The final is on 1st April 2013 at Nottingham. |

Defeat in the first game is always hard to take but this defeat to Surrey at Camberley IBC was a bitter pill to take, but one that we must accept and move on and start to prepare for next year. |
