Presidents Message
Wednesday, 19 September 2012 19:32

I am extremely proud and truly honoured and privileged to be installed as your President for the forthcoming year and will do everything within my power to support the County and its Officers during my term of office.

I inherit the position from my predecessor, Roger Fuller, who has been an excellent President, supporting the organisation with great enthusiasm and handing it over in a good state of health.

I intend to uphold the high standards and long-established traditions and values of our Association, which have been developed through the devoted efforts of the membership of the county, from grass roots level, which is the life-blood of the Association, through to the County representative teams of all age groups at both local and National level.

I would like to thank my club, Prince Arthur Road, for nominating me and also the officers of the KCIBA and others, including my wife Sue, for their support and encouragement and for all their hard work behind the scenes, and eagerly look forward to continue working with them during the months ahead, I also look forward to working with all the clubs in Kent and would like to take this opportunity to thank them in advance for their continuing support, particularly in the hosting of matches and competitions. It is my intention to visit as many of these clubs as possible during my Presidency, both to meet old friends and, hopefully, to make new ones.

My Presidential Tour in January 2013 will be to Warwickshire and I will do my very best to ensure that everyone on tour has a most enjoyable and memorable time.

I wish all players and officials great success in the Liberty Trophy, the Home Counties League the Over 60s Inter-County League and the Under 25s competitions. Let's hope we can make it a hat trick for the over 60s and also bring home the Liberty Trophy, which is well overdue. We certainly have the talent and ability to do so!

In accepting the challenge of the Presidency, I never imagined that I would be following in the footsteps of a succession of so many worthy and distinguished Presidents, who have served the County with such dedication and integrity, and I will endeavour to ensure that the high standards that they have set continue to be maintained.

Finally, I wish you all successful and enjoyable bowling but, more importantly, the very best of health.

Albert Robinson

President 2012/2013
